Weekly photo challenge from The Daily Post: Rare
In a small Midwest town, where few of the residents travel, this coin from Panama showed up. It was found by my Great-Uncle, who fortunately looked close enough to see that it was not simply a dime like he originally thought. The coin, a tenth of a Balboa, is from the last year that such coins were made. Money-wise, the coin isn’t worth much, but it’s not something that you see a lot in the Midwest. I wonder what it has seen in its twenty years from Panama to Forreston, IL.
As my Great-Uncle said, “If only coins could talk.”
